Jeffrey D. Long
Mr. Long is a licensed attorney and a real estate broker. He has developed a wide variety of commercial projects and today oversees the raising of debt and equity and Asset Management of hotels. Over the last few years, he has raised the debt and equity for nine hotels that he has also Asset Managed. He has also selected 50 hotel sites and done approximately 55 feasibility and/or market studies combined.Jeff Long holds a bachelor's degree from Trinity College, a Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk School of Law and an LLM degree in Taxation from Boston University Law School. He is a current member of the Georgia and Massachusetts State Bars and the Marietta Rotary Club and has served on the Advisory Board of a local bank.
Jerry D. Cox
Mr. Cox directly oversees and manages all the firm's contractors and renovation services. He brings to each project more than 30 years of hands-on experience in construction management and real estate development. He has worked for developers and construction companies throughout the country being based out of Chicago, Washington DC, and Charlotte, NC before settling in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a broad educational background specialized in business management, construction and engineering. Jerry Cox has managed the site development of close to 25 hotels and renovations for another 10 hotels. He has overseen all civil engineering while assisting in the architectural design and value engineering of each project. Mr. Cox has rezoned properties, acquired variances and obtained all local, state and federal approvals for site development for all projects and assisted with building permitting as needed. And finally, Mr. Cox has acted as aggregate when all else in the development process failed.
John F. Capone, Jr.
With 20-plus years of experience in the hospitality industry, John has developed and led teams in operations, sales, marketing, revenue management, and asset management. In approaching an assignment, he analyzes and evaluates the hotel, its competitive environment, its marketplace and its market mix, identifying every potential avenue for expanding revenues, increasing market share, increasing profitability and restructuring financing. He prepares strategic as well as tactical plans, goals, and programs, and the measurement systems necessary to ensure achievement of goals in revenue, profit, and increased asset value. He designs and delivers presentations to audiences ranging from owners and institutional investors to hotel teams.
John has overseen operations and sales/marketing for over $1 billion of hotel assets, from numerous Marriott, Hilton, and Starwood hotels, to independent upscale hotels, such as the Coconut Grove Hotel, Hotel Royal Plaza, The Madison Hotel, and the Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort. Additionally, he provides strategic consulting services to numerous diverse hotels. Most recently, John founded Brookestone Hospitality Resources, LLC to provide Asset Management, Property Management, Revenue Enhancements, and Owner Support Services in the hospitality field. Prior to founding Brookestone, John was Senior Vice President of Richfield Hospitality, Inc.; directed all operations of Sceptre Hospitality Resources, a hotel revenue and connectivity company; and launched The Elise Group, a revenue consulting firm to complement these sister companies. He has also been directly involved in business development for new hotels and management contracts.
Prior to joining Richfield, John was Senior Vice President of Operations for Prime Hospitality. At Prime, he built a team-oriented culture, and developed six future Vice Presidents and Regional Vice Presidents. John also has significant experience in opening, positioning, and turning around more than 25 full service and 80 limited service hotels. As an Asset Manager, he has successfully represented owners and lenders during some of the most difficult times in the hospitality industry; notably through the Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980's and early 1990's. During that time, John restructured and repositioned over $250 million worth of hotel assets, seeing the owners through to complete turn-around and/or successful disposition.John is a graduate of Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. He is a Certified Hospitality Sales Professional, has been recognized by Sales & Marketing Management, and has served on the Boards of several Business Travel Associations and Societies of Association Executives. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Houston/Hilton School of Hotel Management, and a speaker at industry conferences throughout the country. He is also a principal in LCC Investment Group and Maverick Asset Management; and a member of Cayuga Hospitality Advisors.
